Smokey Turkey Wraps

2 (6.5 oz) packages garlice and herb flavored cheese softened
8 pita  or tortilla shells
carmaelized onions
1 1/2 pounds thinly sliced smokey turkey
16 bacon slices, cooked and crumbled
4 cups loosely packed salad greens

Spread softened cheese evenly over whole wraps; top with cheese evenly
with carmelized onions and remaining ingredients.
Roll up, and wrap in parchment paper; chill.  Cut in half to serve.

Makes 8 servings.
 

Carmelized Onions


2 large sweet onions, diced
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp balsamic vingegar
 

Cook diced onion and sugar in hot oil in a large skillet over medium high heat, stirring often.
About 20 minutes or until onion is carmel coloured.  Stir in balsamic vinegar.

Makes 2 cups.
