SUGAR COOKIES

1 cup margarine

1 cup sugar

1 egg well beaten

1 tbsp. vanilla

2 cups flour

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. baking soda
Cream margarine and sugar together. Beat until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla, and beat well. Mix and sift flour, baking powder
and salt. Add to first mixture and mix well. Wrap in foil and
chill. On board, lightly dust with icing sugar, roll out dough about
1/4 inch thick. Cut and bake in a 350 F oven for 7-8 minutes.

1/2 cup butter

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp. milk

1/4 tsp. almond extract

1/8 tsp. salt

1 1/4 cup flour

jelly beans
Beat 5 ingred. together and add flour. Cut out into shapes after
rolling out. Cut jelly beans and place on top.
Bake 375 F for 7-9 minutes.

WHOLE WHEAT SUGAR COOKIES

1 CUP SUGAR

1 TSP. BAKING POWDER
-
1/2 TSP. SALT
-
1/2 TSP. BAKING SODA
-
1/2 TSP. NUTMEG
-
1/2 CUP MARGARINE
-
2 TBSP. MILK
-
1 TBSP. LEMON JUICE (OPT.)

1 TSP. VANILLA
-
1 EGG
-
2 CUPS WW FLOUR
-
2 TBSP. SUGAR
-
1/2 TSP. CINNAMON
M ix all together and roll out on to floured board. Bake at 300 F for 25
min. or less.
