3/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
2 large eggs
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 tbsp flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
2 tbsp margarine, melted
3 tbsp orange juice
1 tsp lemon juice
Beat 3/4 cup butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy;
gradually add 3/4 cup powdered
sugar and 1 1/2 cups flour, beating well. Press into an ungreased
13 X
9 inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes.
Combine 1 cup powdered sugar and remaining ingredients, stirring until
smooth. Pour over warm cookies.
Cool completely on a wire rack. Cut into 3 X 1 inch bars.
Freeze up to 3 months, if desired.
