Hot Spiced Cider
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 20 whole cloves
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate, undiluted
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
Tie cinnamon sticks and cloves in a cheesecloth bag.
Combine spice bag, cider, brown sugar, and nutmeg in a Dutch oven.
Bring to boil; reduce heat, and simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
Remove and discard spice bag.
Add orange juice and lemon juice; stir until thoroughly heated.
Garnish, if desired.
Yield 1 gallon
