Blueberry or Mixed Fruit Muffins

1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine softened
1 carton (1 cup) dairy sour cream
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup fresh or frozen berries (unthawed)

Optional
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 tsp lemon peel

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
In large mixer bowl combine 1/2 cup sugar and butter.  Beat at medium
speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed approx 1 to 2 minutes.  Add
sour cream, and egg.  Continue beating scraping bowl often, until well
mixed.
Add in flour and baking soda.  By hand, stir in berries.  Spoon into
greased muffin tins.

Stir topping together and pour over muffin.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
